Nase: Tropischer Fruchtsalat mit Melone, Ananas, Passionsfrucht, Mango, gepaart mit Buttertoffee, Vanille und Nüssen.

Palate: Tropische Frucht, nun etwas würziger mit frisch gebackenen Früchten und Zimt.

Finish: Lang, warm und vollmundig.

Über drei Jahrzehnte reifte die First Release des Balblair 1983 in einem von Balblair's traditionellen Dunnage Warehouses, die mit ihrem hervorragenden klimatischen Bedingungen von Experten als idealer Lagerort für Whisky angesehen werden. Für den damit verbundenen Aufwand werden Balblair Fans nun mit einem Gedicht aus Bourbonfässern belohnt.
Die für Balblair typischen Fruchtnoten blieben trotz der langen Lagerung wundervoll erhalten, was den Balblair 1983 zu einem atemberaubend runden Whisky macht, einer äusserst gelungenen Kombination aus intensivr Frucht, Buttertoffe und Vanillecreme.
